Hedging against increased utility rates. Electric dollar cost per kilowatt hour are subject to rate increases as per inflation. In most parts of the country average rate increases fluctuate between 3.5% to 8% per year.
Federal Solar Credit. Take advantage of the federal government reimbursing a large percentage of the total cost of the solar system in the form of a tax credit. The government gives you back a large portion of your taxed income back to you; to be used for the purpose of solar.
Proposal. The first step is to get a proposal from SunScout Corp by providing info on your home: current electric bill data, roofing material, and pictures of your main panel. The proposal will provide a clear and simple overview of the equipment and financial requirements.
Engineering, site check & overlay design. SunScout Corp will conduct a thorough site check, solar engineers will build out the system requirements, and produce the final overlay design.
Upon the homeowner’s approval the permit will be filed, and the equipment ordered. Once the permit is approved SunScout Corp will schedule the installation directly with the homeowner.
Proposal: 25 minutes.
Site Check: 30-45 minutes.
Engineering & Overlay: 4-6 hours.
Permit: 1-3 days.
Installation & Inspection: 1 day (weather permitting.)
Permission to Operate: 1-4 weeks (based on Utility provider.)
